Ma'at Psychological Services
Dr. Evan Auguste is a postdoctoral clinical psychologist based in New York. His therapeutic approach considers people within individual, familial, societal, and historical contexts. He emphasizes collaborative goal-setting to effectively work through pain and to promote wellness. Dr. Evan earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Middlebury College and his Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. His previous experiences include forensic hospitals, juvenile court clinics, and university counseling centers.
Dr. Evan offers culturally affirming therapy through Ma'at Psychological Services, a boutique therapy private practice that addresses community mental health needs through individual and group sessions. Maʽat refers to the ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) concepts of truth, balance, order, harmony, law, morality, and justice. Living a life of Ma’at is a key to mental health. Ma’at Psychological Services exists so that people seeking mental health services can engage in a collaborative process of change with highly relatable and culturally-affirming therapists.
